Abstract

The paper points to the interdisciplinary character of postclassical narratology, with the focus on cognitive narratology, whose interdisciplinarity is reflected in the influence of cognitive psychology, cognitive linguistics, neuroscience, philosophy of mind, and quantum physics. The ideas of cognitive narratology are interpreted through the concepts of David Herman, Marie Laure-Ryan, Monica Fludernik, Brian Richardson, Ellen Spolsky, and Richard Walsh.
